pouring out.

carla brought up a good point tonight: "i love how i always know how you're doing thru gmail status." it's true. gmail status pretty much says it all. haha yea right. but in my case, she is right. for the most part, it does sum up my feelings at that moment. sometimes, i feel like that for a prolonged period of time.

with that said, my status right now pays tribute to james morrison. now, i've heard of this guy before, but never really paid much attention. so i was listening to a mixed love cd that my friend had received from her bf and this song, "better man" by james morrison struck a chord with me.

i will forever be in awe of male singers/composers/performers who can pour their entire heart out into a song and reveal their truest self in lyrics. it's so painfully beautiful to hear him sing it out, whether it be to a lover, an ex, his mama, unrequited love.... whoever the song goes out to, when there's emotion packed in there, it always gets me. moreso when it's a male artist. maybe it's cuz there's always a possiblity i can be on the receiving end of that song. sigh. sigh. sigh.

so right now, song of the moment (even if it's dated 2006), for the hopeless romantics is: better man by james morrison.





i hope every lady in my life will one day find a man who would sing this to her. cuz i know all the ladies in my life make their current/future love a better man. workin' to do the same for my man ;)
