my laptop had a relapse and allowed me to go online at home.

i can only blog when my internet at home works (since i'm denied access at school) so i'm gonna try and take advantage of this time i have.

updates, updates... after much prayer and discernment and tears, i've decided to return to SMS despite the trauma of this year. i didn't let my pesky 7th graders get the best of me :) but i told my principal straight up that i didn't want to return as the PE/Math/Science position that i was in. she graciously offered me a contract to co-teach 3rd Grade with my mentor teacher and teach a JR. High class and I graciously accepted the offer :) so as of August 18th, i will begin at SMS as the 3rd grade homeroom teacher & 7th Gr. English instructor. hurrah!

the last day of school was yesterday so we've been busy cleaning , totaling grades, returning papers, and tossing papers. i had a somewhat horrific final day of teaching science when i had to educate the class on the REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEMS & PREGNANCY. *blush i had my fair share of giggling boys as i pronounced the words "sperm," "scrotum," "semen," "vagina..." good grief - 7th graders can be harsh. haha but overall, it wasn't so bad. i had an occasional student who said, "c'mon guys, be mature." and listened to the presentation. some asked really good questions, "can you have two STD's at the same time?" "how do miscarriages happen?" "how does the egg separate to form twins?" so those where the more fulfilling moments of teaching this lesson.

as painful as they were, i can honestly say, i'll miss my 7th graders. wow, who woulda thought?

other updates include: more planning with my co-teacher, Ms. Rios... taking Sports inventory with Nora as my final task as PE teacher (oh i'll miss exercising with my students!)... Mom's turning 6-0! on June 20th so we're having a shindig for her... preparations for Ate's big GRADUATION!!! counting it down, sister-friend... flying back home to my beloved Seattle with 3D and roadtriping home with my cargo... making bridal shower invites for Boo's wedding :) ... getting some good r&r and spending more quality time with the 'rents since i've always been swamped with grading...

if you have any other exciting things for me to partake in this summer, send it my way :)

looking forward to seeing the friends!!! :D and getting my laptop fixed by Jo. hopefully, it's repairable...

until next time, keep the sunblock on and happy summer!
